Sorry for this : I'm not a seafarer and I'm not croatian, just trying to get in touch with the croatian seafarers communities and the admins of pomorac.net (who I couldn't find emails for).

So if this is not within allowed uses, please let me know and do forgive me.

I am a former crew manager (and I have been through some of your topics with interest, as having worked with some agencies in your country) and I have designed an internet portal for seafarers which I'm trying to test in real size in Croatia very soon.

This portal is fully independant and anonymous and provides free services to seafarers. These services do not exist on the net today.

My question is : what would be the best way to launch this portal, where should I advertise and what website could I contact ?

Of course, I don't want to interfere or cause any kind of problems to anyone so please feel free to tell me what you want to.

My project consists in a website, only for seafarers, allowing to share informations about shipowners, crewing agents, training courses/training centers, ships, etc, receive job offers, manage their documents, create a CV, ...

Members are allowed to use it and access market data as soon as they provide their own share of it.

It's not related to any union or association, just a tool for who wants to use it.

Collected information is aggregated in order to build country-wide market reports for employers (shipowners, crewing agents and so on), which will also be offered to insert job offers, ads and conduct pollings, ...

I believe it can be of help for seafarers and I hope it will be widely used.

If you have any advise about how to inform seafarers in Croatia, please don't hesitate to tell me.

There are groups on the Facebook related to our trade. Here are some: "I work on a ship" and "SEAMAN'S CLUB" plus for www.pomorac.net

While waiting for the answer, I am looking for someone with good writing skills for a paid translation/correction job (from english to croatian).

My website is Google translated and now needs a correction from a croatian native speaker, with maritime vocabulary knowledge.

It's all to be done from the internet and requires about 1/2 day to be done (same as in other languages).

More details upon request.

I would have loved to ! It's a very nice build overall and probably a future success.

I have tried to find out who is behind but there's nothing I could find. They seem to be polish.

In any case their design is really great (lot better than mine I must say) and they sure know how to develop websites (lot better than me :D ).

I am planning to open next week the beta version so you will know more about it very soon.
