Â? Role: 2nd Officer with Chief Officer Ticket
Â? Company: A 5* Cruise Line company
Â? Website: On application
Â? Start date: In the coming 8-12 weeks
Â? Contract: 3 months on and 6 weeks off
Â? Salary: Circa Â?4200UK tax free paid per month worked
Â? Berthing: Single
Â? Department: Deck
Â? Benefits: Spouse and Relatives travel concessions (Subject to 1 year's service);Defined contributions pension scheme; Excellent promotions prospects and secure employment


The Fabulous Role
Â? Engaged in Watch keeping duties on a rotational basis with other Deck Officers
Â? The Second Officer is an OOW, or Junior OOW, as required by the relevant manning matrix or as required by the Captain
Â? Undertakes rounds on completion of his watch as appropriate
Â? Rounds are to include those areas that are necessary for ensuring the safety, security and good order of the ship, her crew and passengers
Â? The Captain will define the extent of the rounds
Â? Responsible for ordering of stores as approved by the Staff Captain
Â? Maintains overtime and ILO records
Â? Understudies and assists Senior Second Officer as required
Â? Socialises and mixes with guests in a courteous manner as required


You the Exciting Officer
Â? You will most likely be currently a 3rd Officer or 2nd Officer onboard a cruise liner or similar large sized vessel
Â? British Chief Mate Certificate / Chief Officer Ticket or eligibility to be issued with a Certificate of Equivalent Competency by the UK Marine and Coastguard Agency
Â? Excellent command of English Language, both written and spoken
Â? Valid ENG1 Medical Certification (can be sourced at your own expense)
Â? Eligible for issue of a United States C1/D Visa
Â? Knowledge and experience of modern navigation equipment, ideally onboard cruise liners
Â? Good IT skills, and ability to manipulate modern Windows based packages
Â? Ability to work as part of a large team, and take responsibility for own actions
Â? Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with both internal and external customers
